Huawei P30 Pro sports a 40 MP Leica quad camera, in-display fingerprint sensor, and Android 9.0 Pie OS that is going initially on sale from 15th April in India.

P30 Pro & P30 Lite were launched today at New Delhi, India while these devices were previously launched globally at Paris on 26th March at a starting price of €799. The company also names these devices as ‘Rewrite the rules of photography’ as they seem to capture great shots in the daylight as well as the nights.

The new P30 series smartphones are developed with an outstanding feature of ‘SuperSpectrum’ primary camera. The phones feature vertically aligned triple rear cameras and notch-style display panel.

Huawei P30 Pro, P30 Lite Features

As the company reveals, the highlight of Huawei’s P30 series is its photographic capabilities. The P20 Pro, last year, set new benchmarks in smartphone photography, and Huawei aim to do the same with its new series.

The Leica-backed quad-camera setup on the Huawei P30 Pro includes a 40-megapixel SuperSpectrum primary sensor, a 20-megapixel ultra-wide angle secondary sensor, 8-megapixel telephoto camera sensor, and a Time-of-Flight (TOF) camera. The P30 Lite, on the other hand, comes with mostly a similar setup as the P30 Pro. You get the 24-megapixel primary sensor, a 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens and an 2-megapixel telephoto lens for P30 Lite. Both the smartphones feature a 32-megapixel camera on the front.

The P30 Lite comprises a 6.1-inch display while the P30 Pro flaunts a 6.47-inch display. Both the devices feature Full HD+ resolution with 2340x1080pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. A tiny dewdrop notch is present on the top for the new series smartphones.

P30 Lite powers a HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC while P30 Pro comes with Huawei’s latest Kirin 980 SoC. The P30 Lite configures 4GB / 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The P30 Pro, on the other hand, comes in 8GB RAM+256GB internal storage variant. P30 Pro has 4,200mAh battery with support for fast charging technology. The P30 Lite, on the other hand, comes with a smaller 3,340mAh battery.

Connectivity for P30 Series Devices

For security, there’s an in-display fingerprint sensor and support for face unlock. Connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots with dual-VoLTE support are also included. On the software front, the new smartphones run Android Pie-based EMUI 9.1.

Huawei P30 Pro, P30 Lite Prices, Availability

The Huawei P30 Lite is available at Rs 19,990 for 4GB + 128GB variant and Rs 22,990 for 6GB + 128GB variant respectively. Huawei P30 Pro comes at Rs 71,990 for its only 8GB + 256GB variant.

P30 Pro and P30 will be available from 15th April and 25th April respectively at Amazon India. Also, these devices will be available at Croma from May, says the company.
